It might act as an inhibitor of spontaneous calcium carbonate precipitation, and may be associated with neuronal sprouting in brain, and with brain and pancreas regeneration. REG1A, Claudin 7 and Ki67 expressions correlate with tumor recurrence and prognostic factors in superficial urothelial urinary bladder carcinomas (Yamuç et al. 2022).
