It transports cellobiose, cellotriose, cellotetraose and cellopeptaose, and its synthesis is induced by degradation products of cellulose (Lin et al., Feb. 2020, Identification and Characterization of a Cellodextrin Transporter in Aspergillus niger). It is 37% identical to the N crassa protein of the same specificity (TC# 2.A.1.1.82).
