CD16B of 233 aas and 2 TMSs, N- and C-terminal. It may serve as a trap for immune complexes in the peripheral circulation which does not activate neutrophils. Microinflammation status, involving CD16, observed in chronic kidney disease patients is associated with endothelial damage (Ramirez et al. 2007). A 3-d cryoEM strcuture is available (Cai et al. 2022).
