in the pathway from retinal rod guanylate cyclase to rhodopsin. It may be
involved in the inhibition of the phosphorylation of rhodopsin in a
calcium-dependent manner as the calcium-bound recoverin prolongs the
photoresponse. It is a myristoylated protein, and myristoylation causes membrane association (Brand and Koch 2018).
