2.B.28 The Oligo(aryl-triazole) Anion Transporter (OAT-AT) Family 

A series of oligo(aryl-triazole)s (compounds 1-8) have been synthesized, and they served as transmembrane anion transporters by only CH-Cl- interactions. By changing the lipophilicity and anion affinity of the compounds, efficient anion transport with remarkable Cl- vs. HCO3- selectivity has been achieved (Chen et al. 2016).  It is not entirely clear if a carrier or channel mechanism is operative.



This family belongs to the Triazole-containing Channel/Carrier Superfamily.
