Members of the DUF389 family are found ubilquitously in all three domains of life. These proteins vary in size from less than 300 aas to more than 500 aas. They usually exhibit 6 or 7 putative TMSs. Their functions are not known.
Hypothetical protein of 502 TMSs with 7 C-terminal putative TMSs (residues 280 - 502). All similarly large homologues with sequence similarity throughout their lengths are found in Rhodopirellula species.
