The Uncharacterized Archaeal/Bacterial Protein 12 (UABP12) Family This family includes a number of related archaeal proteins with 7 TMSs that may be distantly related to bacterial proteins with either 7 or 8 TMSs. Some of the latter have the transmembrane domain N-terminal with a C-terminal hydrophilic domain.
