1.R.1.1.6 Acyl-CoA binding protein, AcbdA, which in Homo sapiens, acts as the peroxisome receptor for
pexophagy but is dispensable for aggrephagy and nonselective autophagy. It binds medium- and long-chain acyl-CoA esters (Nazarko et al. 2014). In Aspergillus nidulans, the Acyl-CoA binding protein AcbdA is required for peroxisome hitchhiking on early endosomes (Driscoll et al. 2025).
