Long-chain fatty acid transport protein 1 (FATP1) of 680 aas and 5 or 6 TMSs, one or two at residiues 160 - 190, 3 at residues 240 - 350, and one at residue position 450.  This nematode has lost the capacity to synthesise the necessary lipids de novo and has instead evolved to obtain fatty acids and their derivatives from its host (Li et al. 2024).  TsFATP1 plays an essential role in lipid metabolism, moulting, and the development of T. spiralis.
