9.B.136 The 2 TMS Membrane Protein, YjcH (YjcH) Family

YjcH of E. coli is encoded in an operon with the acetate permease, ActP and acetyl-CoA synthetase (AcsA). It could be an auxilary protein functioning with ActP (Moraes and Reithmeier, 2012). Homologues are found in many bacterial and archaeal phyla. YjcH belongs to the DUF485 family.
