9.B.150 The DUF502 or Cog2928 (DUF502) Family

The DUF502 (Cog2928) family includes many bacterial proteins of about 220aas with two clear N-terminal peaks of hydrophobicity that are predicted to be transmembrane, followed by a long region of moderate hydrophobicity which possibly includes additional TMSs. Some of these homologues are encoded by genes adjacent to ABC transport systems.
