2.B.78. The Synthetic Isophthalamide Anion Transporter (SIAT) Family
Several derivatives of Isophthalamide have been synthetically developed as anion carriers. They can function as antiporters of anions such as F-/Cl-, OH-/Cl- and F-/NO3- antiporters as well as anion uniporters. Several papers have been published describing the properties of these derivatives with respect to transport. For references see: (1) Cataldo et al. 2023 and (2) Davis et al. 2020. Structures of some of these compounds (1 - 6) are shown below.
